Did you know, that of the 260 themes available on WordPress.com, 78 offer free options such as custom headers, colors schemes and palettes, and customizable layouts?
There are plenty of ways to make your blog your own without spending any money. Here’s just a few ideas to prime your creative pump.
The color choice is yours
Several themes, including Superhero, Writr, Spun, Panel, Zoren, Fontfolio, Twenty Thirteen, and Typo, offer free color palettes you can apply. Heartbleed Security Update

Last week, a very serious bug in OpenSSL was disclosed. OpenSSL, a set of open source tools to handle secure communication, is used by most Internet websites. This bug, nicknamed Heartbleed, allowed an attacker to read sensitive information from vulnerable servers and possibly steal things like passwords, cookies, and encryption keys.
Was WordPress.com vulnerable to Heartbleed?
Yes. WordPress.com servers were running the latest version of OpenSSL, which was vulnerable. We generally run the latest version of OpenSSL to enable performance enhancements, such as SPDY, for our users. The non-vulnerable versions of OpenSSL were over two years old.
Has WordPress.com fixed the issue?
Yes. We patched all of our servers within a few hours of the public disclosure.
Has WordPress.com replaced all SSL certificates and private keys?

Time is on our side
Time is moving at a faster rate, the older we get. We think! When actually our mortality is catching up with us.
We need to watch the flowers grow, and slow down and see every thing around us. How are we going to see how to fill other’s needs if we rush on by? Remember “Time is on our side”. to success Kenny
Am I Good Enough?
I was speaking at a local high school about writing. Afterward, a girl came up to me with a notebook of handwritten poems. She showed them to me shyly and asked,
“Are they good enough?”
I didn’t need to read them to know that they were good enough. She was fifteen. She had a dream. While her friends were playing violent video games and getting pregnant, she was writing poetry. That’s good enough for me.
“They are wonderful,” I said.
I am not sure we were talking about the same thing.
It’s a big question for a writer: am I good enough?
Am I good enough to get published? To get reviewed? To win an award? To make money? To come out in hardcover? To move people to tears? To win the respect of my older brother who said I would never make it?

5 Reasons You Should Never Settle
As I sit here to write this article, I’m in our hotel room overlooking the beach. The waves sound so close you feel like you can put your hand out the window and touch them. My girlfriend is making coffee. Her tanned skin is accentuated even further by the stark white walls. The rays of sun are coming through the blinds signaling a new day has begun. Michael Bublé is permeating the room from my laptop speakers.
